From the Temple St. Clair Arcadia Animal Collection, Kifaru, Swahili for Rhino, is based on an adult rhino that lives at an orphanage in Nairobi. He was found abandoned as a young calf and was blind so unable to survive in the wild. Maxwell has grown to his full size and is a gentle giant that comes when called and likes to be close to his human caretakers.
