PERIDOT
Known to the Ancient Egyptians as "The Gem of the Sun," Peridot is a truly rare and ancient stone, found in fallen meteorites and volcanic lava. This light lime-colored gem is thus associated with spirituality, light and cosmic powers. A favorite of Cleopatra, Peridot symbolizes prosperity and dignity, as well as game. In Hawaii, the "evening Emerald" is found in volcanic ash and is thought to be the tears of the goddess, Pele.
